Frequently Asked Questions

Questions homeowners and association managers along University Parkway ask most.

Do you give quotes over the phone?

Estimates are done in person at the property. The call or the form schedules the visit, and the contractor puts the estimate in writing at your door. There is no obligation.

Is a single door or panel too small a job?

Small jobs are half the work on this corridor. A door that drags, one torn panel, or a slider screen off its track is a normal visit, and it is usually done alongside whatever else the contractor notices.

We are away May through October. Can this happen while we are gone?

Routinely. Roughly half the corridor's owners are seasonal. The visit is arranged, the work is scheduled, updates come by phone, and the lanai is ready when you are back.

Does my HOA need to approve a rescreen?

Like-for-like rescreening in the approved mesh and color normally does not. Changes such as privacy panels, a new frame color, or a new enclosure usually do. The contractor matches the existing spec by default and prepares what the review needs when a change is wanted.

Which county is my house in?

University Parkway is the county line east of US 301. The north side, including Palm Aire, Whitfield, Mote Ranch, The Trails, and University Park, is Manatee County. The south side, including Longwood Run, Cooper Creek, and Lakeridge Falls, is Sarasota County. It is confirmed from your address when you book.

Do I need a permit to rescreen?

Mesh-only rescreens inside an unchanged frame normally do not, in either county. Structural frame work and new screen walls do. The contractor handles the permit when one applies.

Why does my door drag and slam?

Over the years a cage door's hinges sag, its closer goes slack, and its latch slips out of alignment with the strike. Many doors only need adjusting; racked or corroded doors are better replaced and hung square. A door on a pool cage needs to swing outward, away from the water, and close and latch on its own.

Can you handle a whole condo building or villa association?

That is what the multi-unit service is for. The contractor walks the buildings with the manager, writes one scope to the association's spec, coordinates access by building, and handles the paperwork at the estimate stage.

Where do I look up the license of the crew serving University Parkway?

Each contractor in this network tells us they carry whatever their trade requires; we pass that along without guaranteeing it. Whether your house is on the Manatee or Sarasota side, check the Florida contractor's license yourself at myfloridalicense.com before you hire. It takes a minute.

What areas does University Parkway Screen Repair serve?
